I was excited to see a new Italian place open up that was casual. I received a coupon card in a local coupon magazine, so we thought we'd check it out on a Monday when it maybe wasn't so busy. It was not busy at all- there was only 1 other diner in the restaurant at the time! We figured we'd be served right away- NO. The only waitress greeted us right away and sat us, but we had to wait forever for our drinks (by the way- they had been open a week at this point and still had no iced tea!!!! or lemonade!!!!) We ordered appetizers- which were fresh, and unique, and tasted great, but waited again what seemed like an eternity for our waitress to come back and take our order for our dinner! Not timely on the refills while waiting an eternity either! The food was good, but they were out of or did not make some of the items on the menu- which seemed strange, but at least they make their menu items- obviously they are not frozen and heated. The marinara sauce is very good- something that is always hit or miss with Italian places. I gave it 3 stars because of the food- the service was enough for me not to go back- especially if it was busier!

Went on a busy Friday night. LOVED IT!! The Zucchini sticks were fresh and still had some crunch (not slimy inside like they are at other places) and the pizza was excellent! Never had banana peppers on a pizza before but I will have them again at Primo. Our waitress, Tayler was perfect. She handled a very busy night at a new, new restaurant with grace and charm. We WILL be going back. Oh, and to the losers who came in after us, sucked down some $$ mixed drinks, got their food in a timely manner, then practically LICKED their plates clean before harassing the waitress, asking for the owner, bitching at him and then getting their entire meal comped. We all saw and knew what you did. We even watched you walk out with those smug, self satisfied smirks on your face. Karma's a bitch. You'll get what you deserve and we will keep going back to Primo. Congratulations, Steve. Fabulous place you got there! Like all new restaurants - it will take some time to work out the kinks, but the wonderful food is worth all the MINOR delays in service. I didn't go there expecting fast food time of service. I went out on a Friday night for a good meal (with a 50% off coupon!) and I don't mind waiting a bit for a meal that good! Yes, I highly recommend Primo and can't wait to go back for lunch and brunch and the white pizza that Steve told us about and a fabulous view of the lake in the summer and the live music and.......Just go!

Was excited to see a new place open up on the lake - they are so few and far between. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. Was disappointed by the menu, especially since this place says it's an Italian restaurant and the only Italian dinners on the menu were daily specials. We ordered an appetizer of zucchini sticks, but were told that they were out of them. Ended up ordering sandwiches for dinner, the Meatball and the Eggplant Parm. Our children ordered Grilled Cheese. The meatballs were just that - balls of meat, and no taste. The Eggplant sandwich was better, but it was very greasy. Same with the grilled cheese sandwiches. We were disappointed with the food on a whole, which is why we won't be back. The sign outside says it the best, Primos Bar and Restaurant. Go there for the drinks, don't go for the food.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
